Easy Day Hikes from Pokhara
Australian Camp & Phedi (Half Day – 3 Hours)
One of the most accessible mountain viewpoints near Pokhara. A gentle hike through terraced farms and traditional Gurung villages leads to a clearing with sweeping views of the Annapurna range, Machhapuchchhre, and the Pokhara Valley. Ideal for families, older travelers, and those wanting mountain views without significant effort. Hotel Crown Himalayas arranges transport to the trailhead and a guide for this option.
Kahun Danda (Half Day – 3–4 Hours)
A gentle ridge walk above Pokhara with 270-degree views including the full Annapurna panorama and Phewa Lake. Easy enough for beginners, rewarding for photographers, and spectacularly beautiful at sunrise. Our hotel can arrange this as an early morning guided excursion.
World Peace Pagoda via Forest Trail (Half Day – 2–3 Hours)
Combine a Phewa Lake boat crossing with a 45-minute forest climb to the white-domed pagoda and its panoramic viewpoint. A popular and rewarding half-day option just 20 minutes from Hotel Crown Himalayas.
Multi-Day Treks from Pokhara
Poon Hill Trek (4–5 Days)
The classic Himalayan viewpoint trek and Nepal's most popular multi-day adventure. The route follows the Modi Khola valley to the Ghorepani ridge, where the dawn view from Poon Hill (3,210m) encompasses thirteen peaks over 7,000 meters including Dhaulagiri and the full Annapurna range. Passes through Gurung and Magar villages, rhododendron forests, and traditional teahouses. Best from February–May when rhododendrons are in bloom.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek (10–13 Days)
One of the world's great trek-to-base-camp experiences. The route follows the Modi Khola gorge through subtropical forests, alpine meadows, and glacial moraines to reach ABC at 4,130 meters — surrounded by a 360-degree wall of Himalayan giants. A moderate trek requiring reasonable fitness but no technical mountaineering skill. Hotel Crown Himalayas arranges all permits, guides, and porter services for this trek.
Annapurna Circuit (18–21 Days)
The classic long-distance circuit of the entire Annapurna massif, crossing the Thorong La pass (5,416m) and passing through a remarkable variety of cultural and ecological zones from subtropical valleys to high-altitude Tibetan plateau. Considered one of the world's greatest long-distance treks.
